Can I take cloxacillin if I'm allergic to penicillin?? ## Hi Gavin, From what I've read, the answer to your question is actually no. Reason being is that Cloxacillin is a semisynthetic antibiotic in the same class as Penicillin. The manufacturer's guidelines also recommend that no one should take this drug with an allergy to cloxacillin, any penicillin, or any other part of this medication. HHOW MUCH TIME DOES IT TAKE TO REDUCE FEVER ## Cefi contains Cefixime, Cloxacillin and Lactobacillus, this is an antibiotic. There is nothing in this to reduce fever, at least until whatever infection is being treated starts to clear up and then the related fever will ease in conjunction with that. Since this one is from Mexico, I cannot tell you what it is, there meds are not regulated like those in the US. ## I was prescribed these pills after being bitten by a dog. I've been searching its uses and it appears the doctor only prescribed them to prevent any infections from developing.
