Recently I had an absess, went on antibiotics and got the tooth removed. At the same time my left hand side of my face pulled down somewhat - my lips at the side, my eyelid, hard to talk or smile, face distorted. My doctor says it might be Bells Palsy. Does this normally happen with an absess or maybe they are not related? Is Bells Palsy temporary? My Doctor prescribed the Deltacortil Ent 5mg starting with 8 for the first 4 days then reducing after that. Can you advise on any of this, Thanks ## You can learn more about Bell's Palsy here: It's basically when something causes paralysis of some of the facial nerves and yes, it can sometimes be caused from a bad infection that spreads. The swelling that can occur can cause compression of the facial nerves. Usually corticosteroids, s...

i am suffering from asthama Whether this tablet help me to cure my asthama problem ## First of all, asthma is most commonly caused by an allergy and there is no cure for allergies, though there are some medications and treatments that can help get them under control and lessen your sensitivity to the allergens. As to Cortomycin, it is listed as containing Neomycin, Polymoxin B and Hydrocortisone, it is an antibiotic and anti-inflammatory that is most commonly used to treat infections and, though the Hydrocortisone can help with some allergic reactions, this is really not the right medication to treat asthma. Have you consulted a doctor? You should do so, to get a conformation that it's asthma and, if it is, to get proper treatment.

I read about side effects which is concerning. But so far the aches in my low back and nausea are manageable with tylenol and zantac. I'm greatful not to wheeze and am able to breath again. I have had a reaction to poison ivy going on 3 weeks now. My face has been swelling and I really can't stop itching. I have had a cortisone shot, took prednisone, then they gave me a methylprednisolone dose pack.. I wonder if I need azithromycin? ## That is an antibiotic, so it is not going to do anything to help with an allergic reaction, it will only help treat, or prevent infections. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. Have you tried consulting a dermatologist? That really sounds like a severe allergic reaction.

Got a new tattoo and was wondering if I can use triamcinolone cream to help it heal ## Hello, Nancy! How are you? Since this cream contains a corticosteroid, I'd advise staying away from it. Generally, for a new tattoo, you are advised to just use an antibiotic ointment. The FDA lists the typical side effects of them as possibly including skin redness, irritation and itching. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thank you for the info on using Triamcinolone Cream on my new tattoo. ## my tattoo is almost 2 months old . I have bumps in it that itch ! Can I use triamcinolone cream on it ? ## You should be able to since it is healed. I don't see why not.
