PEG-Intron Overview

Pegylated interferon alfa-2b, sold under the brand name PegIntron among others, is a medication used to treat hepatitis C and melanoma.[3] For hepatitis C it is typically used with ribavirin and cure rates are between 33 and 82%.[3][4] For melanoma it is used in addition to surgery.[3] It is given by injection under the skin.[3] Side effects are common.[5] They may include headache, feeling tired, ...
