Ezetimibe Overview

Ezetimibe is a drug that lowers plasma cholesterol levels. It acts by decreasing cholesterol absorption in the small intestine. It may be used alone (marketed as Zetia or Ezetrol), when other cholesterol-lowering medications are not tolerated, or together with statins (e.g., ezetimibe/simvastatin, marketed as Vytorin or Inegy) when statins alone do not control cholesterol. zintreprid ## This medication contains Ezetimibe and Simvastatin, it is used to help lower cholesterol levels, in combination with diet and exercise. I AM TAKING VYTORIN 40mg WHAT REACTION WILL THAT HAVE ON MY TAKING ISOSORB MONO 30mg ER ## Based on my research there are no drug interactions found between The active ingredients in Vytorin and Isosorbide. This does not necessarily mean no interactions exist, but my sources state that every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is accurate. With that said, because I am not a doctor, the most I can tell you is that from what I've read, these two medications are regarded as being safe to take together and shouldn't present any problems outside of the normal side effects associated with each medication.
