Butorphanol Overview

Butorphanol (BC 2627) is a morphinan-type synthetic agonist–antagonist opioid analgesic developed by Bristol-Myers.[1][2][3] Brand name Stadol was recently discontinued by the manufacturer. Small round white pill FD 632

This is a very small round white pill. F D is printed on one side with a break line, 632 is the imprint on other side. ## In my investigation, the pill in description is reportedly identified as Torbutrol (Butorphanol tartrate), indicated for veterinary use in dogs to help alleviate coughing as well as acting as a sedative/pain reliever. Due to the lack of available information on this pill, I would still encourage you to get a second opinion from a local veterinary office or clinic, as there have also been rumors of this being a drug called Aminopentamide (Centrine) - which is also used in veterinary medicine for vomiting and diarrhea. I hope this info helps! Please post back if you're able to get a more concrete answer.

torbutinic

Can this pain med be Givin to dogs ? ## Hi Jack, Unfortunately I can't seem to find any specific details on a medication by the name of Torbutinic. Did you mean to say "Torbugesic" (butorphanol tartrate)? Torbugesic is widely recognized for veterinary use in treating pain, so I wonder if this could be what you're referring to... From what I've read, it's often used in dogs, as well as cats and horses. Hope this helps to answer your question! ## Torbutinic is when they mix a vitamin supplement with torbutol. The vitamin the use is Pet Tinic, with the torbutol name you get the name torbutinic. My dog has taken it. But the dosages would vary per dog.

Val Torb Syrup For Dogs

Does val torb syrup make a dog rest better? And does it have side effects? ## Torb/VAL syrup is the opioid Torbutrol (butorphanol) dissolved in V.A.L. syrup. It's usually prescribed to treat mild pain. The V.A.L. syrup is also said to contain B-vitamins, but I've heard that it is mostly added to hide Torbutrol's bitter flavor. As far as side effects go, central nervous system effects (such as sedation, confusion, and dizziness) are considerations with butorphanol. Nausea and vomiting are common. Less common are the gastrointestinal effects of other opioids (mostly constipation). If your dog has been resting a lot more than usual, it's likely due to the sedative effects of the medication. It can often make the animal extremely drowsy so be careful with its use. If need be...

My 8.5lb cat had 4 surgeries; 1)cystotomy, 2)pu, 3)feeding tube x2. He is finally home. If anything will go wrong everything has gone wrong with this poor cat. Now he strains to urinate and was urinating blood last night. Vet seemed to think it was a blood clot, I concur, I saw one now no more blood this a.m. Fir his straining he was prescribed butorphanol 10mg/ml. Label reads: 1cc butorphanol in 10cc lixotinic as flavor agent, give o.25-0.4cc by mouth 1-4 times daily as needed for urinary straining. Is expired Butorphanol tartrate nasal spray still ok?

I have the nasal spray version of this product. I can't take oral meds as they make me throw up. This one has expired but I was tempted to take it for my chronic acute sciatica. It is two years old but it is an aerosol, so no air gets to it.

torbutrol 5mg

My vet will give a prescription, however, she cannot afford to lower the price of torbutrol 5 mg. Right now I am paying 107.00 for 10 pills and my guy takes it twice sometimes 3 times a day so I really need to get it cheaper. My husband is disabled and on the liver transplant list so I am already paying for medications that are horrible priced. Can anyone tell me where to find it cheaper? ## Hello, Jenny! How are you? I'm sorry that the medication is so expensive and about your husband's condition. I hope he gets his transplant very soon. As to getting it cheaper, have you tried any of the pet medication websites? You can usually order from them and have your vet fax in a prescription. The prices are generally much cheaper, since they don't have the overhead that a veterinar...

butorphanol liquid

I need to know if its still good after exp. date ## Hello, Traci! How are you? No, if it's expired, it would be best to dispose of it and obtain a new supply. Medications tend to lose effectiveness over time and liquids can actually go bad and may make you ill, if you took it. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

Pink Small Round Pill 0 5 Mg 251

small round pink pill on one side scored other side 0.5 on top 251 on bottom ## Although I can't verify my findings, research I gathered leads me to suspect that this is butorphanol (brand name: Torbugesic or Torbutrol) which is a pain medication that doubles as a cough suppressant. I don't know for certain, but it's most likely to be this. Do you happen to have any pets as well that were taken to the vet? I'm also just wondering if this is a veterinary pill for bronchitis in dogs. If this is the case, then we may have a match for butorphanol. Hope this helps! ## where did you gather your facts on this or did anybody never confirm it? ## this is Triamcinolone Triamcinolone is a long-acting synthetic corticosteroid
