Xanax No Risk At All

XANAX - ALPRAZOLAM

Is it safe to take a prescribed low dose like 0.5 3x day long term? Is it low enough to not make a withdrawl problem if I stop it suddenly?

I need something besides fluoxetine-prozac to calm me but I do not want to take any risk of impaired memory or any other side effects?

This is a tricky question in the sense that every medication is going to effect each individual differently; however from a general point of view, taking such a small dose in order to taper off is a good thing. Personally, I would consider attempting it for a given number of days just to see how you react; and only if it becomes unbearable due to any sudden onset of symptoms or reactions, will you know whether or not you should up the dose a little bit and taper off at a more gradual pace.

As far as finding something to calm you, I would strongly recommend looking into essential oils for that purpose. Many of them have some powerful sedating (and anti-anxiety) properties among a wide range of other health benefits too. These also come without the risk of side effects if used properly.
