Taking Oralcon-f, Stop Taking And Period

Hi i been using oralcon a few months back had no problems until now. I stared a new pack the first week of this month but decided on stopping because I was away for a week so I didn't see the reason to take it since I wasn't active. I had my period which was surprising, however I decided on taking the same pills at the start of my period. I stop taking the pills after my period was finished, only to find out this morning I was bleeding again. Is this because I continued from the same pack?, why? I don't understand hence: what do u suggest I use because am scared I won't be able to have kids when am ready and I don't think I wanna use oralcon anymore

There is no need to worry, this contraceptive will not have any long-term detrimental effect on your ability to have children and what you've experienced is normal, according to the NIH.

When you experience a period, while taking these oral contraceptives, it is actually due to a break from the hormones, the pills you take the week of your period, do not contain hormones, like the rest of them. Thus, if you stop taking the pills, you may also experience a period due to not taking in any active hormones.

As to stopping it for a week, because you were away and not engaging in intercourse, that does increase your risk of pregnancy. Active or not, you should take a tablet every day, if you don't, ovulation may occur and that could result in your becoming pregnant.
