I have always been an anxious person (worrying too much, scared, etc) but last year some events made my anxiety worse.
I was prescribed prozac for it and at the begining it was good: no anxiety anymore.
After 7 months I decided I didn't want to take it anymore so I tappered to 0.
I felt ok for about 3 months after stopping and then the anxiety came back with a revenge; this time I had several new symptoms like: chest pain, insomnia, ocd thoughts, panic attacks, depressiive feelings.
My doctor told me to get on prozac again and so I did.
The anxiety has gone a bit but now I have a lot of side effects that I had not experience in my first round of prozac. Emotional numbness, zero libido, nausea, etc.

I just want to come back the state of mind that I had before meds, in the long term prozac has made me MUCH MUCH worse.

Please before starting a SSRI think that you may feel better for some time but then you will pay for it when you get off it.
I HATE PROZAC.

I have been off an on Proxac since it first came out. Often I would restart it and not like the side effects so I'd discontinue it for a few weeks and restart. I rarely experienced the same side effects. No one believed me.

The last time I tried it the side effects were unbearable. I felt as if I were dying!
I read up on a few things and realized my doctor should never have prescribed a SSRI when I was already on Trazodone for sleep. I was experiencing Serotonin Syndrome. It can be deadly.
