Hello. I am pregnant and my doctor suggested I get blood work done. I had my period on the 16th day and had an IUI test; after which the doctor recommended the medicine progesterone soft gelatin capsules & naturogest 300mg to start taking on the 20th day, three times daily for 15 days. Can anyone tell me what the medicine is used for?

Both of these are used to supplement your production of progesterone, which is vital to a woman's health, as well as her being able to carry a baby to full term.

The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, spotting, and irritability.

How are you both doing?

Congratulations on the babies!
