Pain Dr S Port Arthur Tx

I'm disabled from a surgeries on my neck and 3 herniated discuss in lumbar , need a Dr for medication to reduce and tolerate the pain . A Dr close to bmt , tx

Hello, Paul! How are you? I'm very sorry that you're in pain.

I'm assuming you mean Beaumont, TX?

If you require regular, ongoing treatment for chronic pain, due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, you'll need to see a pain management specialist. There are also no guarantees that such a doctor will prescribe anything. You'll need to set up an appointment, make sure they receive a full copy of your current medical records and then discuss your treatment options at your appointment.

Do you currently have a PCP that could refer you to someone?

Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area?

Yes I have a PCP and he has referred me to a pain management clinic fairly close to my home , thank you for your response.

No not really , just concerned about there understanding of my particular situation . My Dad is 86 and has had 3 surgeries for cancer at MD Anderson . I'm all he has and he is a handful , ha!!! He is set in his ways . My concern is if they want me to do physical therapy which in my case would be impossible to do . I hope they understand .

Oh yes, I do understand that. I just lost my dad this past March at 85 due to lung cancer and he was a handful to the very last. The man never slowed down or stopped griping. LOL

Thank you for understanding, I just hope they do. Physical therapy will not help me , only surgeries could help but don't want another surgery only at the last resort. I've gone thru shots in my neck and back but can only have 6 of these type of inj's. a year, now I'm broke. I got a copy of my scripts from the pharmacy and I've average taking 1 hydrocodone a day the past year. I just need something to help me tolerate the pain for now and helping my Dad well I don't know what i would do since other over the counter mess just come close to helping.
