Norco 10/325 853 Walgeens...should I Get Filled?
(Newest replies first)

I have always went to Krogers and got my norco 10/325 manufacturers are Mallinckrodt. Never really had an issue as I only take 4 a day as prescribed by doctor for a car accident and injury i was involved in years ago. Well i am now on an insurance that is cheaper through walgreens. My problem is because I love to read, and have read that the ones to be filled Tuesday at walgreens are watson 853 and are white..? Are these good for the pain and the effectiveness we all normally search for with such pill or is it a waste of time. Ive read they go through actavis now and have read that they are not effective at all..0% for pain. Has anyone had this same issue or is it just a hype to all the addicts that think they notice differences in these meds. When I say addicts im not being judgmental as this is an addictive pill so one who is addictive in my book is not at fault themselves. Take it from me...i know..! Please help and answer, should I give the white watson 853 a try from walgreens or pay 340$ for the malli (m367) at krogers?

Someone gave me a green colored pill imprinted with norco 539. I've researched everything online and can't find this exact pill in this color. Does anyone know what it is? Does color make a difference. I've never seen these before and have been taking tabs, percs, vik, for a long time.

Get the Watson. Probably an old post, however I know more than I should about this. Trust me.. The mallinkroft is terrible, wears off faster (not extremely different but noticeable). Rite aid (most) carries great brand and so does Walgreens. Don't pay the cash for bad pills. The room for variables according to FDA, would shock you

A lot is psychological so I get it, but still I was miserable on the mallis.

You've probably solved by now but future, get an Rx savings card to keep in your wallet. Most pharmacies (cvs I know for fact) honors coupons up to 80% off. Good luck

NO! I too take the Mallinckrodt 10/325s and was led to believe the Watson were more effective. I even went out of my way to find a pharmacy that carried Watson and filled my script there. BIG MISTAKE! The Watsons provided much less pain relief and just "didn't feel right". On top of that they acted more like a sedative than a pain killer knocking me out for hours at a time. So now I was stuck with a 30 day supply of non-effective meds that I depend on to function. Had to go back to my doc to try and explain and he seemed to think I was running short on pills and agreed to give me an early refill. The funny thing is everyone used to rave about how good the Watsons were but I think they've changed the formula or done something screwy. I recommend sticking with the Mallinckrodts. Almost all other brands I have tried are sub-standard in comparison.

Walgreens I use them to fill my Norco 10/325. They are made by Watson ( the generic I get) and Watson is also the one that makes the brand name Norco. My grandfather is a pharmacists and he told me that there is no difference except the imprint on the pill making it generic.he told me more than likely they are actually the brand name just with a different imprint from their machines. Watson has always worked better for me then any other generic. The yellow generic of Norco 10/325 doesn't work on me at all I get no pain relief at all.

There can be slight fluctuations in the amount of the active ingredient from one generic to another, however, since they are very slight, most people never notice a difference.

The only way you can find out how it works for you is by trying it to find out.

The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Does anyone else have any input to offer?
