Hi enayat,

The precautions for this particular medication note that you should not stop taking Flupenthixol without first consulting your doctor. Reason being is that you could end up experiencing very serious withdrawal symptoms after being on it for such a long period of time.

Some of these withdrawal symptoms may include but are not limited to the following side effects: nausea and vomiting, diarrhea, increased sweating, prickling sensations, insomnia, anxiety, and tremors.

Most symptoms can be prevented by stopping the medication gradually instead of going cold-turkey. Your doctor should be able to help you with the tapering process so you don't have to worry about any of the side effects staying with you long term.

You can learn more about this drug on the page for Flupenthixol Details

I hope this info helps!
