Hi ducky,

Sorry to hear about your troubles with sleep. In my honest opinion, it's probably not dangerous to start taking something that you were recently prescribed 4 months ago, if you're using it for the same indications as before. However, it would still be wise to discuss this with your doctor first if you have any concerns pertaining to the dosing, potential side effects, and other prescribing information.

From what I could gather, Hydroxyzine is an antihistamine most commonly used to treat allergies, anxiety, and motion sickness. But it also has what appears to be an off-label use as an acute hypnotic, to help you fall asleep faster and promote a more restful sleep state.

You can learn more about this drug on the page for Hydroxyzine Details

I hope this info helps!
