How long should I wait to take tramadol after taking methadone for 2 days

I am at 146 milligrams for 6 years now in California, I want to move to Mexico. Before thinking of moving I wanted to do a slow taper, 1 mg week or 2. This would take forever. How would I get a prescription for methadone in mexico? How could I make it work?

Here is some information to help you. According to the NIH every pill has what is called a half cycle. A half cycle is the period of time it takes for half of the current active ingredients in your blood stream to be metabolized by the body. It is generally accepted that it takes between 4 and 6 half cycles for the active ingredients of a pill to be completely metabolized.

According to the NIH methadone takes approximately 24 hours per half cycle. This means that in order to avoid crossing the tramadol and methadone you will need to wait between 4 and 6 days. The largest concern of taking these two medications together is the increased risk of seizures so I would err on the side of caution and wait the full 6 days before starting the tramadol.
