How Long Does Suboxone Stay In System (Page 5)

How long before suboxone wears off? I have been on a maintenance dose for 2 months. 16mg a day. My last does was thursday of 12mg and today is monday still can't feel the opiates I have been taking since then????? how long before this stuff wears off??

I've been on 20mg Diazepam and 16mg Suboxone for two years. If you're a recovering addict and have been diagnosed with PTSD and/or Panic Disorder yes they definitely will put you on both. When I started it was 40mg Diazepam and 32mg Suboxone. I received absolutely ZERO high from the benzos, but they did nip panic attacks in the bud. My P-doc said I'd be one of those types that would have a really hard time getting off the last of the Suboxone. I can't believe the jones right now. I'm so pissed off but still haven't relapsed. I hope I can stay away from the tar & oxy.

I hate being called a p***y because relapsed on oxy after being heroin-free for 13 years. Some of our brains are just wired for opiates. I'm in a Suboxone program now - have been for 2 year and it's been effective. But I want OFF this stuff now. Now I'm addicted two 2 drugs. But respectable I guess? I can work and not be high? A productive member of society? But don't call me a p***y. I kicked heroin cold turkey on my own with sheer sweat and determination. This time I thought I'd get some help. I had no idea eventually I'd still feel like an addict.

That's a lie. I get tested weekly at IOP- intensive outpatient care. I do it 3 hrs a wk 3x a week ever since I went to rehab & my counselor drug tests me. And the only thing that. Shows up is the only thing I'm on. Suboxune.

I have to take a drug test on 5/22/14 I was on suboxone for 4 days n stopped taking it tues. Will I be able to pass the drug test?

How is it wrong? If you are only on sub of course that's what shows opiates even long term use is out of system in 72 hrs maybe 96 but that's it

so wrong im still failing for subs 17 days after my last use. And i was on 3 8mg strips a day for 6 months

sounds like somebody made a mistake. I take 8s twice a day and it takes 4-5 days with no suboxone to even notice because of the extremely long half life of sub. I know with many meds they can actually tell the amount you have been taking. I would not take any chances regardless because I am sure you know even finding a doctor who prescribes sub AND accepts your type insurance can be extremely difficult. I have a very good doctor but he made it clear ONE failed drug screen ADIOS AMIGO. Like I said though if your test showed NO suboxone someone definitely made a mistake somewhere. If he refused to prescribe a refill I would request another test.

I agree 100% ! Some brains are wired for opiates. If you kicked H cold turkey you did something most people do not have the strength or willpower to do. I don't think I could as I am sure you know it's easier said than done. As for the sub, from what I have learned dropping from 3-8s a day if done slowly is the easy part. Its that tiny portion (literally a half to one quarter of a mg. ) "jumping off" to zero when the problems start. I would google "stopping suboxone" etc. I have read several websites were people keep diaries from day one to months after stopping completely. Slow and gradual is very important to the jump off point, then you have to ride out the storm which is different from one person to the next. An average seems to be 2-3 weeks.Some less some more, How much you took and how long has a lot to do with it. Good Luck ! If you can kick H you can stop sub's I promise you !

I took less than a quarter of a suboxone on Monday. I am going to be induced this Monday. So it will be a week to the day. I do not take them everyday. I'm so scared it will be in my system and I'll lose my baby. I didn't know at the time they were going to induce me. Will it be out of mine and the baby's system by then? I am so scared plz answer as soon as u can.

Totally off subject now she was worried about test when they' induce so she can keep baby not worried nothing more so why agsin is comments about opiate use abuse and tests?

whatever doctor told u that is either lying, or is not a doctor, hell if thry want to they can test you for bluberries, how do you think they find out what people are allergic to, my doctor has taken me from monthly to weekly appointments, i think because she knows my car just got stolen and its not on the busline, she said its because my metabolites are way lower than my sub intake, basicly im not taking them, which is bs im on ssi i 565 a month and 280 goes to them why would i waste my money on somethin i dont taKE ALWAYS GET A 2nd OPINION ALWAYS, if they would look at my charts my liver is way screwd and my metabolism is iffy at best idk good luck

I agree it's a struggle I couldn't do cold turkey with subs opiates it's such a HUGE mental screw!!! There are of course the physical symptoms but the mental arks them worse and are and can be worse. Cause you keep thinking I can just take one all this stress and pain will go away. So quitting cold turkey shows huge amount of self control and power within

I weened down to a qt of suboxeon a day for the past 6 months and it took exactly 14 days to completely leave my system. Everyone says 72 hours but that's if you have taken 1. Although I have weneed down to a very small amount, a qt a day I cannot seem to get off that little bit , when I try to refrain from taking I feel just as terrible as I did when I took 2, 8 MG a day the worst detox ever. Wish I had never started the sub program
