How Do You Know If A Dr Checks Levels Of Pain Meds
UpdatedIf a dr sends out the urine sample to a lab, does that mean he is checking the levels? I have a lot of health problems and one of them is fibromyalgia and it causes a lot of pain. Between that and my other health problems I've been flaring up A LOT because my dr I just started seeing doesn't believe in fibromyalgia so decided to wean me down and off of pain medications. I am now on oxycontin and oxycodone, both 10mg. I ran out early bc I was flaring up so bad so I had to take extra. My cousin gave me 1 of his 40mg oxycontins and now I'm worried that the level is going to show up higher than it should. Could i tell him that I took extra pills the day before and if he checks the levels, that make sense to him why it's so high?
