I have been on Multaq and have not had severe side effects from...occasionally I get a itchy rash on the sides of my torso which eventually go away..I think its seasonal..My main concern is if anyone is losing alot of their hair...my hair salon says iam shedding alot and I can see it too when I wash and brush my hair, Might be hormonal going to have it checked out but just thought I would ask if this was also a side effect..

I took have lost a lot of my hair, my hair dresser noticed right after I started using Multaq, plus I'm on Warfarin too.... I want so bad to get off of both of them, also my blood work is showing to much protein, which now I had to go to see a cancer dr last week. I think it's all due to these to meds.

ABSOLUTELY!! I've been on Multaq for 7 months and have never ever had a Hair loss issue. The drug companies hide this crap from us because they want to sell there product. It's sites like this you see the real deal and side effects. However, the product DOES make a big difference with my PAC's. That's what I sue Multaq for. My ablation was successful, thank God! :) Good luck

Are you your taking warafarin or coumidin to thin your blood?
If you are that is one of the side effects of that drug. I started warafarin way before I I was put on multaq and my hair started falling almost within two months of starting.
I am hoping they pull me off it next time I see the doc as I have bee in rythum for over a year now.

Multaq contains the active ingredient Dronedarone, it is used to treat conditions that cause irregular heartbeat.

While hair loss is not listed as a regular side effect, there are actually many reports from women using the medication that they have experienced it, generally starting between 1 to 6 months, after they have started taking it.
