In regards to these, this is just the chemical name for an iron supplement, there are both prescription and non-prescription supplements that are available.
The appropriate one depends on how low someone's iron levels are, when tested.
And there are also some conditions where adding additional iron is contraindicated and too much of it can be very dangerous, so please check with your doctor, before adding it.
It can also cause side effects, such as nausea, joint aches, darkened stool and constipation.
