does amoxicillin and clavulanate nullify the use of opiates, killing infections in the body being derived from penicillan, does augmentin xr (amoxicillin and clavulanate) stop or cancel out the effects of opiates also taken in combination?

No, as a matter of fact antibiotics and narcotic opiate analgesics are often prescribed together, since the swelling from infections frequently causes intense pain, until the antibiotics start knocking out the infection.
