Hello, Bingbing1956! How are you?

Medications start to lose effectiveness over time, so it's not going to work as well, since it's been expired for 2 years.

Beyond that, you need to see your doctor, get on a good, non-expired medication and stick with it.

There is no cure for high blood pressure, it has to be continually controlled and you can't just take a medication until it's at normal levels and then stop, because it will go up, again. The medications also take time to reach their full level of efficacy in the body, so they aren't something you can just take as needed, whenever you get a high reading. They must be taken every day.

Some people do manage to eventually reach a point where they can control theirs through diet and exercise, but that is also a constant thing, they can't take breaks and go off of their regimen. Medications are also used at first, to bring it down as fast as possible to a safe level.

Letting your blood pressure get out of control and continue to rise creates the risk of your suffering heart attack, stroke or congestive heart failure.

Is there anything else I can help with?
