My friend takes 8mg subutex and when he picked up his script today, they weren't the usual white tablet. They were white and the size of a 2mg subutex with an 8 on one side and an arrow on the other. Could his pharmacist have made a big mistake or are these just a different brand??

i have, the same problem got my refill and it was these little pills with 8 and an arrow. i almost told the pharmacist hey i want what i usually get. i wish i did these things suck!! it sure doesnt feel like 8mg to me i feel like half way through the day i need to take another one, not at all like my regular perscription.

i would have to agree people omly want subutex or suboxone when they r outta pills and dont wanna be dope sick yea i said it dope sick i have been there and i need my meds for drug abuse and i really hope people dont cause a problem out of them and misuse em causr really thats jus stupid

U can not buy subutex, suboxone tablets or films, without a prescription and it is not sold illegally thru Internet Pharmaceutical scam companies. Thank God that is the case! This drug has saved my sanity and my life, and i would absolutely hate to see it turned into a problem drug like all of the pain killers....

I dont know. I just started the little ones today, and it seems like i cant tell i took it. I hope you are right. Also, my insurance(blue cross/blue shield) called me and asked me all kind of queastions. One of the things she told me was, "There are too many people taking it who dont need it. It is not a good drug." By the end of the conversation, she actually said it was a miracle drug.

The size difference is less buffer, the smaller ones contrain the same amount of active ingredient but less of the inert (non drug). Smaller has benefits, it dissolves faster cuz of less binder.

So why are they so much smaller than the regular generics by TEVA (White oval ones) or the name brand oval ones by Reckitt? Is it because its concentrated buprenorphine packed down so it looks like a small round white pill? Does anyone know what I'm saying? I need some answers because the size difference is confusing me big time! Thanks for any help PLEASE!

i have been taking 8m buprenorphine for 4 years now and much prefer the the small arrow generics type and probably find them a little stronger if an 8m can be this small imagine what all the extra additives in the big subutex type which you really dont need to be taking plus the amount of time it takes to actually take 5/10 minutes compared to 30 seconds beats it hands down.

Yea the same thing happened to me today, i went to get my script of subutex and it was a totally different looking pill, i found out its just a new kind. they are actually better i think because they dissolve so much faster, but i was worried at first to that they made a mistake, but i took it and it worked the same, so i guess they just came out with a new pill

The normal pills i get are bigger and have a clear line down the middle to break in half, i dont have any in front of me because i have to pick up my refill but anyone else get these? Thank you so much! I actually did some research on Arrow Generics and saw that they were out of UK and Watson bought them out, but I wasn't sure if there was a connection. The only other information I could get was that they did distribute Buprenorphine. Thanks again for letting me know I was actually right on the money! My friend will feel much better knowing he's not taking an anti-psychotic medicine like the search engine said:)

From what I can tell these tablets do contain 8mgs of Buprenorphine, the active ingredient in Subutex. They were originally released in the U.k. and then became available in the U.S. when the generic market for the medication opened up here.
So yes, just a different manufacturer, they are made by Arrow, which explains the logo on the tablet, they use that on all of their products.
