Hi, I have severe anxiety, and have been on Atenolol daily since I was 14. I'm now 40. You should be just fine on Teva as it's just a different manufacturer from what I was told. I was on the Mylan brand for a very long time, and due to the shortage, I had to take the Teva brand. I don't even notice a change, I suffer from Tachycardia, Arrhythmia, palpitations, and a murmur, and I have many health issues, so you should be just fine! :) My cvs in Pa also helped me out, I'm just glad to have Atenolol!

Yes, Aventine is correct, it is the same medication, just manufactured by a different company.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension.

Have you tried taking it, yet?

I'm so glad I was able to help, my doctor didn't even check around and put me on an entirely different medication, of course having anxiety, and ocd I wasn't ok with that and started to panic!! That's when I called her back and told her about the Teva being available. I just got another bottle of it refilled today. When you have such severe anxiety, and ocd etc.. people don't understand what our thoughts are, because they can't see or feel our dread and worry! I have been taking it for a month now with no problems, you will be fine :)
