I'm looking for an OTC method to control my angioedema. The swelling effects my eyes and face and ALWAYS lasts three days, no matter how much benedryl I take. Is there any help?

Hello, Denise! How are you? I am very sorry about the problem that you're having.

Albuterol isn't available over the counter.

Cetirizine is available over the counter and it is often used to treat it. It's also known by the brand name Zyrtec and may cause side effects, such as drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth.

What has your doctor recommended you take?
