It actually depends on the type of test being used. There are some basic tests that just show the presence of opiates, however, there are others that can show the specific opiate that was taken.

If the latter test is used, then they will be able to tell them apart and know you took Hydrocodone.

Is there anything else I can help with?

They can only tell opiate other then oxycodone apart in gc/ms testing which is expensive. In a normal urine test Lortab (hydrocodone) will show up as opiates. And hydrocodone is detectable in urine for 12 hours to 5 days possibly longer depending on many things.

I went to doctor and I voluntarily gave him a UA because I didn't do anything I wasn't suppose to so was confident it would come out ok, NOT, came back for Oxycodone and I did not take any of that! Also trace amounts of marijana came back and I didn't do that either! All I took was my normally prescribed drugs, hydrocodone, zanaflex, & Valium! So why would it show up for those 2 things when I didn't take either of them?

Oxycodone and hydrocodone are very similar in chemical structure and may show up as the same thing in a standard urine test, which is probably the reason it was found in your system. As far as trace amounts of THC, well, if you are around people who are smoking marijuana and inhale enough second hand smoke, it can cause a positive. I also believe that diazepam can sometimes break down and show very small amounts of THC. It is the same idea as pseudephedrine. This can show up as METHAMPHETAMINE. I have had these problems as well and would suggest talking to your doctor and explaining that you would like a sample sent to another lab for analysis.

Check your drug information as some drugs give false positives for thc. One specific is protonix. And that's sad because it's for acid reflux.

I only take Hydrocodone 1-325. Today I tested positive for oxycodone and my hydrocodone level was very low. I'm highly allergic to Oxycodone! It's all in my file at Dr's and pharmacy. I protested so much they are sending sample to a lab. Repeated twice so not a cross contamination issue. Anybody have a legitimate explanation?
