I have a white oval pill with E over 281, wanting to make sure it's Metoprolol. ## Yes, this is a 25mg tablet, generic for Toprol XL. It used to treat some cardiovascular disease and high blood pressure. Some of the most common side effects include: dizziness, drowsiness, vision problems and diarrhea.

It is used for: Treating high blood pressure, alone or with other medicines; long-term treatment of chest pain; and reducing the risk of death because of heart problems in patients who have had a heart attack. Have others noted this side effect with use of Metoprolol Succinate? After discontinuation of the drug, how long did it take for these symptoms to appear? Thanks. ## I would like to know any/all the side effects of this drug. My father is taking this drug, along with 12 other different kinds of medications! This cannot be healthy. A lot of them are related, whether they be for heart, blood thinners or cholesterols.
