Took A Drug Test At My Doctors For Suboxone And It Showed Negative - Please Help (Page 3)

I had a drug test with my suboxone doctor the other day and he called and kicked me off the program because the suboxone did not show up on my drug test, but i have been taking suboxone for 3 years and cannot go without it and i took suboxone the morning of the drug test. How is it possible it would not show up?

I was on methadone for 8 years but once I started the Suboxone, it's never showed up in my system. So I asked my doctor if I could come in and take a Suboxone in front of someone, then the next day go back and do a urine test and they let me do it. It's still came up negative for suboxone in my system and they said it's because I metabolize it differently. Thank God that I was on Methadone for pain management and not a drug addiction so my doctor believed me what I was saying and they did not stop by Suboxone prescription. I think you should ask your doctor if you could come in take a Suboxone and then come back the next day to do a urine test to prove that you're not lying.

What's crazy is it has only not showed up recently. I asked them if I could do that and they treated me poorly so I left. I have left over meds but i want to try to get off this curse. This is no life

I wish I didn't need pain management. I will need it for the rest of my life. I'm allergic to so many other medications and that's why they put me on methadone to begin with. Once I started getting treated like a drug addict I asked my doctor what was an alternative and the only alternative for me was the suboxone. I still get looked at differently when I go into the pharmacy to pick it up because I have lots of tattoos, piercings and colored hair. But the crazy thing is I've never done a drug in my life. I don't even smoke cigarettes or drink. I'm the perfect example for that saying "never judge a book by its cover". If you really want to get off, I suggest you take a little less every few days to wing yourself off. I hope it all works out for you.

The same thing is happening to me!! Help what do I Do? I go back next week after they send it to a lab. I can't go without my meds. Suboxone saved my life

Ask if you can take it in front of a nurse and then return the next day to be tested. I did that and they saw that it didn't show up, so I wasn't kicked off. Good luck.

Any info or advice PLEASE!!! I have been on Suboxone for 4 years. I can't get off it because I do need something to help with pain. Here's my problem: About a year ago my doctor started giving me mouth swab tests because the laws have changed here in the state of Tennessee where Suboxone could no longer be written for pain, only for opioid dependency, which I was cool with. My problem is the mouth swab test I take every month shows up negative now. My doctor believes me that I am taking it but my insurance is gonna start to give me a hassle thinking I am selling it (says my Dr). I am on three 8mg strips a day. Last month I took one 10 minutes before the test and it was still negative. The few medical problems that I do have that I don't know if they could affect this are gastric bypass and my lower jaw was rebuilt so I wear a bottom denture which is where the test goes. I'm not really sure how the body processes Suboxone but this is going to be a problem for me in the next few months. I took videos of me taking my Suboxone with the timestamp of a newspaper behind my f****** head with the day's date. Well, you know how insurance companies are. Anybody ever heard of anything like this?
