Taking Xanax After Suboxone

How long after taking Suboxone is it safe to take Xanax? I have severe asthma and I'm scared.

No one is going to tell you what is "safe" or not aside from your Doctor.

Abuse and dependence
Suboxone has opioid effects, and long-term use can lead to physical and psychological dependence. Suboxone dependence can cause drug-craving and drug-seeking behavior, which may lead to misuse or abuse.

Abuse can cause overdose and dangerous side effects, including death. This is especially true if Suboxone is used along with other opioids, alcohol, benzodiazepines (such as Ativan, Valium, or Xanax), or other drugs.

What Eddy stated is correct, only your doctor can decide what is safest for you.

Combining Suboxone with Xanax could result in higher levels of sedation, respiratory depression, lowered blood pressure, lowered heart rate, which for some people could be dangerous, according to FDA reports.

Have they both been prescribed for you? What instructions did your doctor provide?
