Hi I am on Nuzak and feel I have no energy I stay tired. I am on Nuzak about 8months. I also have gained weight and eat less but still pick up weight. I was on wellbutrin before but went off and my Dr recommended me to go back on Nuzak. I struggle to get through the day and feel sleepy mostly. I also have no libido. Weekends I just want to rest to be able to cope for the week that lies ahead. I feel very exhausted and hate feeling this way. What would you suggest?

Hi Chantel,
This reply may be very outdated but may still help someone else. I have been on Nuzak for almost 3 weeks now and for the first 2 and half weeks felt the same, very very tired all the time no matter how much I slept. I spoke to my doctor and pharmacist at first thinking it was a side effect, but after some investigation realised that my antihistimine, that I have been on for about 3 years for an allergy to some plant, was interacting with my Nuzak. My doc changed my antihistimine and what do you know, what a difference. I also know that Valerian, in anxiety pills, even the natural kind, also interacts with Nuzak, so check all other meds and even health suppliments for interactions.

Those can be normal side effects of this medication, according to FDA reports, you may also experience nausea, dry mouth, and headache.

However, just as Jules said, there is a chance that they could also be caused by some other issue, such as another medication, other activity, or something you eat.

Is there anything else you can think of that might be contributing to the problem?
