I had a mild heart attack in November 2005. It was corrected with a single stent to LDA. I was prescribed Lipitor 20mg (never had high cholesterol Ramipril Details Are there any other comments or questions? ## Maybe this will help: I had an NSTEMI in August and Ramipril is part of my post-hospital regime. (Also diuretics, aspirin etc. and beta blockers. Seven pills a day!) I take Ramipril 2.5mg once a day. It is not only for blood pressure: the effect on that may be minimal. According to my doc, beta blockers make more of a difference to that. However, Ramipril also 'smooths out' the heart pumping action by 'softening' the blood vessels so they offer less resistance to each heartbeat. Thus they take some of the stress off the heart and help to prevent a further 'even...

I had a heart attack and stent a couple of years ago. I'm on aspirin, bisoprolol, atorvastatin and ramipril. I also take levothyroxine each morning. I have been feeling very tired and my blood pressure is very low, typically about 100 (or less) over 50 ish. With my drs agreement my dose of ramipril has been reduced to 5mg per day from 10mg. I take one in the morning and one at night. My blood pressure has increased slightly and seem steadier (although I had a reading of 98 over 47 yesterday) and I'm probably not as tired, although its hard to tell. My question concerns whether it is better to have the higher dose for prevention and put up with low blood pressure, or to have the lower dose and be at more risk! I don't know what is best and my dr seems to be leaving that decis...

I'm taking Ramipril,Perindopril and Eplim and have been getting terrible migrane.Headaches ceased when I stopped the Ramipril & Perindopril for two weeks, but I don't know which one caused the migrane and need to go back on them.G.P.not very informative. Can any one help please? ## Well, the first thing I have to question is why your doctor has you on both of them? Both Ramipril and Perindopril are ACE inhibitors, so it is essentially just doubling up on the same medication and that is actually what might have been causing your headache problem. If you have hypertension, or a heart condition that needs to be controlled multiple medications are often used, but not of the same exact class. Have you spoken to your doctor again, yet?

RANBAXY is on the purple side, and R-10 is on the white side. Was told by the pharmacist at Loblaws that these are from Israel. BUT, are they for real????? ## If you are receiving them from your pharmacy, they have to be approved by your drug agency and undergo the same testing as anything manufactured in the U.S., or Canada, so they meet the same quality standards. Have you tried it?

I'm on 10mg of Ramipril,10mg of rosuvastatin,100 mg aspirin and 20mg nexium and feel terrible most days.I had 2 stents 12 months ago and have never had a heart attack. My symtoms are nausea, pains in my arms and neck.Feel more tired, but have no problems with light exercise.Could it be the drug causing this? ## Have you consulted your doctor? Yes, it could be caused from either the Ramipril or the Rosuvastatin and if I had to take a guess, it would be that it's the Rosuvastatin. These statin medications are well known to cause these types of side effects in many people that use them, especially the pain you are experiencing. There are many people that have had to stop taking them due to this problem, or they've had to switch to a different medication. You can learn more here:...
