I am taking This medication for a sore inflammation area in my chest that I have seen a physical therapist for. He told me to work out to stretch the chest but to do push ups and everything still. My other doctor gave me the steroid pill to get rid of this inflammation. With this medication are you supposed to rest it or use the muscle more? I still have inflammation in that spot. This is Day 2 of the pill so after todayI have three more days of this medication. What do you think or recommend. Thank you for your time.

It is likely that your physical therapist has instructed you to stretch the effected area so that you can get blood to fill the muscles and effectively "flush out" some of the infection. Resistance trainers do something similar to get rid of the lactic acids that make your muscles sore after a hard workout. The steroids you received are going to help by treating the inflammation, you doing stretches and body weight exercises should not have any relation to the steroids you are taking, however, if you were instructed to rest by your doctor then you should do so.

Continue to administer your medication on time for the best results.

I hope you feel better soon.
