I had a high normal level, my Nephrology she did not tell this. It was on some of the medical papers that she gave me what does that mean. ## Hi Pauline, From what I understand, nephrology deals with kidney function and the treatment of various kidney problems. However you weren't really clear at all on what specific "levels" you might've been referring to? So I'm naturally a bit confused on how to even begin addressing your questions & concerns regarding this. Would you please take some time to post back with more information on what it really is that you're describing as "high normal levels" in 'something'? Thanks! ## I am sorry I take Pot Cl Micro 20mg. Can I use potassium gluconate instead of potassium chloride and if so how much to equal 20 meq ## Hi Donna, Can you get a little bit more specific on the abbreviation of Potassium "Chl". There are a few possibilities to choose from with that prefix, such as Chloride or Chlorate. To put it simply, Potassium "Chloride" as a supplement shouldn't be used when chloride-levels are normal, or when chloride should be avoided (ie: kidney diseases). Potassium gluconate is a type of potassium salt that people use as a supplement as well. It's more often used to treat hypokalemia, or low potassium. As far as comparing doses, I haven't found any specific details on this just yet. But in general, Potassium is very very easy to get in your diet, just by eating foods rich in...

I use this and am looking for a new supplier ## Finding a new supplier really depends on where you are located, and what's available in your region. It also depends on whether or not you are looking for a prescription pill vs pure powder form or other OTC variations. The FDA deemed that (over the counter) supplements can only have up to 99 mg of elemental Potassium per pill and 100 mg or higher requires a prescription…so a prescription could be several times more potent, saving you from taking several pills a day of a supplement. NOTE: Orally, Potassium Chloride is toxic "in excess". In the U.S. Potassium Chloride (powdered form) is manufactured by several companies which you can view in the link below (near the top of the list): Other Potassium Chloride br...
