I've been taking Penicillin for 7 days once daily for strep. It's been a week and I felt worse and I just noticed that I was supposed to be taking the Penicillin twice a day instead of once a day. Should i just start taking it 2x daily until finished or do I need to stop and get a new / different antibiotic? ## What has your medical professional advised? In many cases, they will just prescribe more of the given antibiotic, so you can finish a full course of treatment. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. Are you on any other medications?

I was taking penicillin and now need to switch to a zpak. There is a possibility of experiencing allergic reactions, even if you just use it topically. Cystic acne is usually treated with oral antibiotics, which the FDA lists as possibly causing side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. Please let me know where Penicilina Pomada may be purchased or if it's something that requires a prescription? ## As to such a product, since it contains Penicillin, in the U.S. it is only available by prescription from your doctor. It is an antibiotic and if use improperly, there is a risk of developing antibiotic resistant bacteria, which may be dangerous. I'm all out of Amoxicillin and have Pota-V-kin Penicillin V 800000U... Does this cure a UTI? Please help. ## Hi Juno, A study by the US National Institute of Health smugly describes Penicillin's efficacy against UTI's as being a rational choice. Source: NIH / PMC477226 However my research leads me to believe that Penicillin's efficacy may also be dependent upon the strain of bacteria that's causing the infection. Therefore it may be a good idea to have your doctor analyze the bacteria through whatever diagnostics are deemed appropriate, in order to ensure that taking Penicillin is indeed the best approach. If you're unable to get in to see a doctor, perhaps a local pharmacist could at least advise you on Penicillin's standard adult dosing protocols for a UTI....

I have an oral infection my wisdom teeth are coming out and I got the infection on my right side me. My mom gave me Penicilina v 800,000 u.
