## In regards to Benztropine mesylate... More details about this medication are available at: If you have any more questions or comments to add, please post back so I can further assist you. ## I have been taking trihexyphenidyl 5mg for almost 40 years, same as mesylate Benztropine 2mg. I have been filling prescriptions from Canada for 5 years since they are not available in the Philippines. My prescriptions are from my Filipino doctors. As of now, there are several pharmacies carrying such items, but my problems are - 1): they do not honor prescriptions in the Philippines. 2) they will only supply only three months consumption. My prescriptions are for 1,200 tablets each.

I have RLS and it's getting worse. I was taking .25 mg. 3x Day along with gabapentin. I still take gabapentin. My neurologis had me try Requip 2 mg at bedtime but my ins. co. won't cover it. He has now prescribed carbidopa Levo to take one at bedtime. I've done this for two nights and have not slept a skidget! Also, the RLS is in full bloom even after taking this. Maybe because I'm awake? RLS isn't fatal but my goodness it's enough to drive me to drink. Is there a connection? What would be the next medication? ## I don't know if this will help you but it sure has helped many people with RLS. Will this drug make you feel like you're spaced out as a side effect, or act like a benzo? Or is it like thorazine, making u all groggy? ## Are these like xanax? ## Is benztropine considered a benzodiazepene in lab work? ## It's not "just like thorazine" but you're getting closer. It depends on your standards! Thorazine is abused sometimes too! But no. No, don't do it! And if u do, don't expect to feel euphoric. But just don't do it. ## @Carol, From what I could gather, Benztropine is classified as an anticholinergic. Other reports I've read state that Benztropine is structurally similar to Atropine and Diphenhydramine (Benadryl). That said, I doubt it's even checked for in a lab analysis. However, false readings are always a possibility depending...

Is benztropine medicine considered a valium? Because the pills that i have, have the imprint of 23 26 v ## Hello, Tony! How are you? I think you're confusing Benzatoprine and benzodiazepine. Benzodiazepines are a class of medications that include drugs such as Valium, Xanax and Ativan, which are most commonly used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders. However, Benzatropine is a drug in the anticholinergic class, it's actually used to treat Parkinson's Disease, Parkinsonism and dystonia. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Just to add to tony's message - the pill being described, white tablet with V on one side and 2326 on the other side is correctly assumed to be Benztropine 1mg, NDC code 0603-2434.
