does it cause damage to your kidneys? ## NIfedipine is a calcium channel blocker, which is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions. I am not finding anything that says it causes kidney damage, but there is no way to say how it can affect any given person that takes it. Have you discussed your concerns with your doctor? If you have existing kidney damage, the dosage does have to be carefully adjusted.

what are the side affects of the m030 pill? and why is it smaller thann the other niphedine pills, is the cost more or less? ## The tablet with the M 030 marking contains 30mgs of Nifedipine. Size is really only related to the types of fillers the manufacturer has chosen to use, it has no effect on the amount of the active ingredient that is in it, nor does it affect the price. As to the price, there is no specific one I can quote you, because it is going to vary depending on where you buy it and how many you are buying, at once. Nifedipine is a calcium channel blocker, most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions, so its side effects may include: nausea, dizziness, headache and stomach pain. Learn more: Is there anything else I can help with?

I was prescribed Amlodipine 2.5 mg for my BP,2 months ago.As my BP was not controlled gradually my dose was increased to 7.5 mg and still it is 160 to165 systolic and 85 to92 diastolic and sometimes it is around 150/80. Can I try Nifedipine instead of Amlodipine. If so what is the dose to start with? ## Have you discussed it with your doctor? Both the Amlodipine and Nifedipine are calcium channel blockers, so if one hasn't been working for you, the other might not, either. In this case, you should consult your doctor, because you might be better of trying a different class of medication, such as a beta blocker.

a Dr. prescribes nifedipine 20mg slow release three times a day for a customes is it safe to give him/her 20mg of the immediate release three times a day ## I would suggest doing so, without their doctor's approval. Nifedipine is a calcium channel blocker, which is most commonly used to help treat angina and replacing the time released medication with an immediate release could result in their getting too much of the medication at once, which could cause an overdose. Are there any other questions or comments?

Large round thick tablet with M 482 ## My mother has a couple of types of pills in one bottle, she does not remember putting them in with others and does not remember taking either pill. The bottle says nifedipine. Nifedipine is on her drug list from her doctor. Can you let me know what these are? ## M 482 is Nifedipine Extended Release 60mgs, B 60 is the same thing! ## Has Nifedipine M 482 been discontinued?

I`am taking nifedipine 60mg my doctor told me to increase it by 30 mg if the top side was over 151 so i did. I want to go back to 60 mg i monitor my bloodpressure each day ## Have you consulted your doctor about going back to the prior dosage? Nifedipine is a calcium channel blocker and it, as well as most other blood pressure medications, can cause rebound effects if the dosage is lowered or the medication is stopped suddenly. These effects can actually result in your blood pressure going higher, for several days and can also cause elevated heart rate. So, in essence, the dosage usually has to be lowered slowly, which is why it's best to discuss it with your doctor on the proper amount to lower it by.

want to know the side effects of Nifedipine Bp and also the best Bp drug as well as the best solution for Arthritis for a sixty year old. ## Nifedipine is a Calcium Channel Blocker, used to help control HBP, though it is also used as an antianginal. You will find most blood pressure medications share the risk of pretty similar side effects, they can include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and headache. There is no one medication that is the best BP drug for everyone. Some work better for some people than they do for others. That is why there are so many on the market and, sometimes, several are even used in combination for better BP control. Another class used to help lower HBP are Ace Inhibitors, here's a link for information on those and the medications available: There are also Be...
