Has there been any work done on using Melatonin as a possible assistor in controlling psoriasis. ## Based on what I've read, there actually have been studies demonstrating Melatonin's promising benefits for managing psoriasis. According to an article on Livestrong, "It is suggested that the role of melatonin in psoriasis should probably be further investigated, as it appears that this hormone might be linked with two other hormones (growth hormone, also known as GH, and prolactin), which also appear to be lower in patients with psoriasis." I would keep in mind though that melatonin and other natural supplements shouldn't be used to replace any drugs or therapies recommended by your doctor. However from personal experience, I know that a healthy diet may also improve ...

I take Melatonin - Usually half a 3 mg. pill each night. I had such bad insomnia and this is really a miracle. I read this article outdoorlifereviews.com/sleep-products/is-taking-melatonin-safe and it was really speaking to me. All I read makes me know it's safe but I just need some reassurance - since I love it so much ## HI, Pat! Glad that it's helped with your insomnia. While Melatonin is generally considered safe and is classified as a supplement, what you do have to remember is that it's actually a hormone. Thus, only proper use is safe and even that could cause some problems for some people. If your doctor has said it is safe for you to take and you're not having any other issues with imbalanced hormones, it most likely is safe for you to continue, but you still ha...

i have a small (7/16 diameter) round white pill that has no markings or colorings in it at all. any idea what it could be?? ## In situations like this, where there are no markings on the tablet, it is rather difficult to determine what they contain. They can be ruled out as being a U.S. prescription medication, because they are all required to have imprints to enable their identification. They are most likely an over the counter product and in that case, there are many possibilities. But there is also a chance that it could be a foreign medication. Does anyone have any ideas on this one? ## It could be a melatonin, which is an over the counter sleeping aid.

is it a clonpin its yellow round pill has black L nothing on other side ## I think they are melitonin ## NO NOT MELATONIN, THAT IS AN ASPIRIN! ## small round yellow pill with a black L on it and nothing on the other side ## Just to clear this up… Amanda was correct, this is just an 81mg Aspirin tablet that's available over the counter, it's the dosage that's used by people for blood thinning and heart health. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache and stomach irritation. Learn more Aspirin details here. Are there any questions or comments?

I come to know that my Neutrophils count has decreased from 3.2 to 1.7 within the past 2 years. (normal range 2.0 to 8.0). I realised that started taking Melatonin 3mg daily since about the same time. At this time, I am only guessing there could be co-relation between the low Neutrophils and Melatonin. I am wondering if anyone else has similar side effect from Melatonin. ## I don't necessarily have a direct answer to your question regarding the correlation between Melatonin and Low Neutrophils. But I have come across several reviews from those with personal experience attempting to take Melatonin for the sole purpose of raising their Neutrophil count. Unfortunately Melatonin appeared to have little to no effect for these people upon doing so. From that information I can only assume ...

Two of my boys have autism and sleep disorders. I wanted to try liquid melatonin with them but was advised by their psychiatrist not to. This (he says) is because it can interact with SSRI's that they are taking (fluvoxamine) and result in Serotonin Syndrome. I cannot find any information about this anywhere and was wondering if anyone has heard of this contraindication. ## I haven't found any information on this either, but since he is a doctor, he may be aware of more modern research into it that isn't available to the public yet. The details I've found state that the SSRIs actually can make the Melatonin be ineffective, so it's really pointless to try to use them together. Did he suggest anything you can try to help with the sleep issues? ## imho psychs are not do...

its just a little pill that has nothing on it and its round..thats all i know...plus its for sleeping.. ## If there are no markings on it, it is going to be difficult to identify what this tablet contains. We can rule it out as being a U.S. prescription medication, because they are all required to have unique imprints to enable their identification, in case of emergency. However, it could be any one of several over the counter products or even a foreign medication. I have a bottle of Melatonin supplement tablets that I use, when I have trouble sleeping and they meet this description, plus I can think of quite a few other supplement products that are round, white and have no markings. Was it found/obtained in the U.S.? ## It crack mang

I was given the ok to try melatonin. I took the first tablet last night and had a headache, nausea, and kept waking up with nightmares all night. I heard and read of drug interactions and that melatonin will decrease in your body naturally when you take melatonin so you keep the same level in your body. I also read that it can backfire in that your body has adjusted its level of melatonin down and when you stop taking supplement melatonin you may end up with insomnia. I was just wondering if anyone else had bad dreams when taking this? ## What dosage is the one you took? Are you on any other medications? Have you talked to your doctor about taking Melatonin? ## Well I took half of a 3 mg - so 1.5 mg. Yes I talked to my doctor and with the other medications I take she said it was okay.

I have had severe insomnia for two years. Have had a sleep study, where I slept a total of two hours during the night, even with ambien. Trying so hard to get off ambien and benedril which are making me so dopey/brain foggy during the day. Sleep Dr. put me on 20 mg of melatonin. Having some decent sleep with this huge dosage, but having significant digestive problems, cramping and nearly uncontrolled BMs.... Anyone else experience the same? Thanks for your reply.... ## Have you consulted your doctor? 20mgs is a very high dosage to be taking, it's usually taken in doses from 3 to 5mgs. The diarrhea and cramping have been known to occur in some people taking it, but the high dose may be making them more severe for you.

I want to obtain the Astronaut sleeping pills in Australia and need an address and telphone number ## I believe the product you may be referring to is RemTyme, which is a supplement that is claimed to help with sleep. It contains L-theanine, Melatonin, Magnesium, Chamomile, Passionflower, Lemon Balm and hops. It is, however, not scientifically proven to help with anything, though several of the ingredients are used in many products to help with relaxation and better sleep. As to its being used by astronauts, it is possible that NASA and other space agencies have tested it, however, they have not, at this time, found any product that works well and consistently, even among prescription medications. Nor, do they endorse any product. It is available for purchase from various websites, howe...

I have problems sleeping - I am in my 70s and have always had problems sleeping. I am currently taking Zopoclone, is there truth about Astronauts Amazing New Sleeping Pill? or is there something better that would help me sleep. Thank you if you can help. ## Hi Tony - Have you tried a natural supplement at bed time such as Melatonin? There are also essential oils such as Lavendar which are known to have calming effects. As far as what you are taking (Zopoclone) - I could not find a medication with that name as far as U.S. drugs go. Is the active ingredient Temazepam? What sort of effects is the medication having on you at this point?

I have these round white tablets with L1 printed on just one side. I think they are melatonin purchased at Walmart possibly the Sun Valley brand. I also have purchased rantidine tablets( the store brand). I don't want to take the wrong pill and I don't want to waste them. Please help... ## The description of your pill shows up in drug databases to be Famotidine (20 mg); which is commonly used in the treatment of peptic ulcer disease and gastroesophageal reflux disease. You had mentioned that you purchased Ranitidine also (and not Famotidine)-however both of these drugs have a different generic name and are otherwise not related except for having the same medical uses for treatment of peptic ulcer disease and gastroesophageal reflux disease. I need to order to assist w/ insomnia, have been told Remtyme tablets have no after effect. Unlike other sleeping medications. ## this site does not manufacture, prescribe, nor sell any products or any type, this is an information only website. RemTyme is a natural supplement that used herbs and minerals, which are claimed to help with sleep issues. However, as a natural supplement, there is no proof that it will work, nor has it been tested to see if it will or will not cause any side effects. The ingredients are listed as: L-Theanine, Melatonin, Magnesium, Chamomile Extract, Passionflower, Lemon Balm and Hops. It can be ordered through their website, but I am not certain of the prices or what locations they will ship to. Are there any other questions or comments?

Is is safe to take REMTyme sleeping pills if you have glaucoma? ## RemTyme is a natural supplement said to help with problems sleeping. It contains L-Theanine, Melatonin, Magnesium, Chamomile, Passion Flower, Lemon Balm and Hops. That said, since it is a supplement, rather than a medication, its side effects and interactions with other medications and medical conditions have not been studied. Have you consulted your doctor on wether or not it is safe for you to use? ## Can you trust anyone that doesn't even know how to spell "weather"? ## My friend, wether (mis-spelt) or weather (climate) as you spelt it in your written comment, "can you trust someone who cannot spell weather", is actually WHETHER - which means "whether or not". - sorry!

Pretty sure this is an OTC aids in sleep. Can't think of the name of the drug right off hand, but it's taken 20 minutes before going to bed for the night. I believe you only need one pill and it simply adds to what your brain already makes. Melatonin(?) maybe. ## This tablet actually contains 1mg of Ropinirole, the active ingredient in Requip, it is used to treat Restless Leg Syndrome and is a prescription medication. Common side effects may include: nausea, dizziness, hallucinations and sudden attacks of sleep, during the daytime. Learn more: Are there any other questions?

Where can I order REMTyme sleeping pills? ## It is available online from the manufacturer's website, as well as several others. Some drug stores, as well as supplement stores, also carry it. However, it is not actually a sleeping pill. RemTyme is a natural supplement that is claimed, but not proven to help with sleep issues. It contains some substances that may help you to relax and sleep, but it is not going to work like an actual prescription sleeping pill. It contains: L-Theanine, Melatonin, Chamomile, Magnesium, Lemon Balm, Passionflower and hops. it is a small white round pill with a few black specks in it and its blank on one side and say BEZ on the other ## I'm not sure about the black flecks (dirt? oxidation?) but the small round white tablets with BEZ stamped on one side are melatonin tablets from a company called Bezwecken. ## Actually, the ones with the black flecks is a supplement from the same company that is called Isocort, they use the BEZ logo on all of their products. It is a natural Cortisol supplement that is claimed to help with certain problems, such as Thyroid conditions. However, I cannot find an exact listing of what the actual ingredients are. Are there any other questions or comments?
