I was given this medication(ic meclizine 25mg) to stop being dizzy, but I see that one of the side effects could be dizziness. How can this be? ## It's just one of those fun incongruities of medications, what can relieve a symptom may also often cause the same symptom in some people. Most medications that people take for headaches are the same way, such as Acetaminophen and Advil, if you read the possible side effect details, one of them is headache! What you have to remember is that, while it is possible to experience side effects, the number of people that do experience them is actually very low. Are there any other questions or comments?

IWAS GIVEN YELLOW OVAL PILL WITH PAR ON ONESIDE AND 035 ON THE OTHER FOR BACK PAIN?? DOES IT HELP? I THOUGHT IT WAS ONLY FOR MOTOIN SICKNESS?? PLEASE CAN SOMEONE SHINE SOME LIGHT ON THIS FOR ME PLEASE? ## The imprint "par 035" is identified as Meclizine hydrochloride (25 mg). Meclizine is effective in inhibiting the symptoms of motion sickness, such as nausea, vomiting, and dizziness. But I see nothing about this drug being used to manage inflammation or pain. It belongs to the drug class of anticholinergic antiemetics, and not pain relievers. I do find it odd that he or she would prescribe something for motion sickness when you have back pain. I can only wonder if someone else's prescription got mixed up with yours. Have you brought this up with your doctor yet?

The pill is yellow, small oval shape, has the letters K339 imprinted on them. Pleas help identify. Thanks, Pauline ## I can't find a listing for this, but if it is a 25mg Meclizine tablet, they are available over the counter, so it wouldn't be required to be listed in the prescription drug databases. Where were they found?

My sister took a Meclizine pill and a Meloxicam pill one after the other. I had to carry her cause she couldn't keep her balance, was dizzy, and felt nausea. Should she have taken them together? ## What were the dosages? Has she consulted a doctor? The Meloxicam is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory and it can cause some nausea and dizziness, but the Meclizine should have helped with that. Her reaction sounds very extreme and unusual, so she definitely needs to consult a doctor about this.

My husband was but on Ic meclizine 25 mg tablet for severve depression with other medications. When I looked this medicstion up it was stated that it was used for boat and air travel etc. I am confused how this would help depression with severe anxiety attacks. Could you help me. ## What other medications did they put him on? Meclizine is an antihistamine and while it won't help with depression, it does have some calming and sedative like effects that could help with the anxiety issues. Therefore, it may have been added to assist with that, while something else is supposed to treat the depression.
