My friend took 4 meclizine pills for dizziness and is concerned about how many can potentially attribute to an overdose. ## Hello, Nuttymatt! How is your friend doing? Did she suffer any adverse effects? The FDA classifies Meclizine as an antihistamine that is most commonly used to treat or prevent nausea, vomiting and dizziness. Its typical side effects may possibly include drowsiness and dry mouth. One should never take more than their doctor has prescribed, or exceed the dosing instructions on the package. An overdose could result in coma and death, though it would be very rare.

I experience vertigo periodically my french consultant on examination says due to the hairs in the middle ear has prescribed tanganil 500mgs tds for ten days. Why does this occur will this cure the condition ?? Our mutual understanding was limited. ## As to a cure, that really depends on what's causing your condition. It sounds like they thought you were having some type of inner ear problem, but I really can't say just from the information in your post. There are several things that can cause vertigo. Tanganil contains the active ingredient Acetylleucine, it is widely used in France to treat Vertigo, but it is not used in the U.S., so I don't have a lot of information on it. Does anyone else have more information? ## The equivalent used in the United States for vertigo (min...

I was taking a drugstore brand of meclizine, 25 mg non-chewable tablets. It worked great to control my nausea. When I ran out of the non-chewable tablets, I bought chewable Bonine. To my dismay, almost immediately after chewing the Bonine I became nauseated, and the nausea lasted almost 24 hours. To make sure it was not a fluke, I took chewable Bonine the next day and had the same reaction. Then I switched back to the non-chewable tablets and got relief from my nausea. Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone know why the chewable form of meclizine might cause nausea when the non-chewable form does not? If I swallowed the Bonine tablets instead of chewing them, would I still get nauseated? (I haven't tried this yet.) ## 12 hours after I took the chewable fom of Bonine I also be...

How effective is this compared to other manafacturers. Where is this made? ## It has to pass the same testing processes as any other to be approved by the FDA, so it will be as safe and effective as any of the ones made by other manufacturers. However, what really matters is that you try it and see how effective it is for you, since some people are sensitive to any fluctuation in the produce, even in the inactive ingredients. Learn more Meclizine details here. And they have a lab in the U.S. that does this product. Are there any other questions?
