Looking For A Doctor In Western Massachusetts
UpdatedI am trying to find a doctor or pain clinic in Western Massachusetts (Springfield / Westfield Area) for my wife, the doctor she was seeing took her off the fentanyl patches and oxycodone when she got pregnant with our 3rd daughter. She was on them for a lower back problem where the disk had ruptured requiring emergency surgery and combination sciatica issues and fibromyalgia. the problem came about while my wife was pregnant the medical practice the Dr was a apart of closed down and the doctor opened her own private practice and now does not prescribe at all to anyone for any reason at all. I have been calling around and it seem's like none of the practices prescribe at all. we got her into Baystate Pain Management in Springfield Mass but they lied to us over the phone. we waited 2 months to get her in only to then be told that they do not do pain management with narcotic medications at all, though over the phone they said that the doctor did. which is the same thing we went through with the doctor she has right now as her primary care physician. we explained all her physical problems along with bringing in all the documentation MRI's surgical reports phys therapy ect only to have the doctor say she doesn't prescribe either though they said over the phone they did. seems to be the general run around of them saying they do prescribe over the phone to get you to make an appointment and then when you finally see them say nope they don't. I really need help finder her a doctor as she is in a ton of pain daily and it is extremely affecting her.
