Found in my couch wondering wth it is plz help? ## Hi Christopher, Based on the description provided, I've identified your pill as Lansoprazole 15 mg (delayed release); which is an over-the-counter acid reducer, to help treat heartburn & acid reflux. NOTE: the color on this capsule is listed as being pink and green - however I have to say that the green does look light blue in some of the photographs I've seen. Please post back if you happen to have any questions or comments regarding this medication.

have been taking this med for years mfg,by Sandoz; recently insurance switched me to the same 30 mg, by Dr. Reddy's. since than my blood sugars are running extremely high. Are the ingredients, active/inactive the same. I noticed that one of the inactive by Dr. Reddy's is raw sugar. Could this be the cause of high reading. I do take meds for diabetes, but never had such high numbers, as now with Dr. Reddy's. ## all I need to know is are the ingredients the same for all lansoprazole 30 by different mgs's ## Hi MrsM, Based on my research, these are the inactive ingredients in the Lansoprazole delayed release capsules -manufactured by Dr Reddy's laboratories: Ammonium hydroxide, hydroxypropyl cellulose, low substituted hydroxypropyl cellulose, magnesium carbonate, methac...

Hello. I have only been on Lansoprazole for a week following a severe bout of acid reflux - finished up in a&e because they thought it was cardiac chest pain. I feel Ok with the tablets, watching what I eat, but I am getting muscle pain in my lower legs. Has anyone else had this side effect or is it perhaps caused by something else? - and the occasional headache.when I never normally get headaches. ## Actually, those symptoms could be the signs of extremely low magnesium and the monographs direct that you should stop taking the Lansoprazole and contact your doctor immediately. They should check your magnesium levels and help you supplement back, if necessary. You can learn more Lansoprazole details here. It is known that this class of medications can cause a deficiency of it, in som...

The manufacturer of prevacid (lansoprazole) recommends usage of this drug for up to 8 months. I have been on this for years. What studies have been done to date on long term usage of this drug? ## I have been on lansoprazole for 10 years and since then have had many problems including reactions to drugs, anaphylatic shock, arrythymia, high cholesterol, osteopenia and migraine. ## To clarify this question…. The reason they are concerned about long-term use of Lansoprazole or any of the other PPIs, is due to the fact that they were found to cause brittleness in some bones, such as those of the hip when used for longer than the recommended duration. This resulted in a large number of hip fractures among the people that took them for too long. Learn more Lansoprazole detai...

my 14 pound dog may have swallowed some lansoprazole dr 30 mg. What should I do? ## That might be a bit high of a dosage for a relatively small dog, usually they're given the 15mg ones, or even a smaller amount. Learn more Lansoprazole details here. How is your dog doing? Did you contact your vet? There have been some cases where too high of an amount has resulted in some permanent toxicity damage in canines.

However, the only way to see if it will work for you is to actually try it. Are there any other questions or comments?

Lansoprazole, a white capsule with GG 637 imprint, has been prescribed to me replacing a pink and aqua capsule, also Lansoprazole, that had a Prevacid 15 imprint. Can't find anything on GG 637. Both are by Sandoz. Any help please? ## Prevacid is a name brand for Lansoprazole, which is a proton pump inhibitor that used to reduce the amount of acid produced by the stomach. The reason the other one is probably not listed is because this dosage is available over the counter now, and OTC products aren't required to list their imprints with the FDA. Did you ask your pharmacist to double check for you?

Interaction with an ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar) regimant ## Have you consulted your doctor? Though it is often touted to help with various conditions involving excess acid, apple cider vinegar can be harsh and may actually worsen some, such as severe ulcers. And since ACV isn't an actual medication, it hasn't been tested for interactions and side effects, so I really don't know if it would be a problem with the Lansoprazole. What condition are you treating? If you post back with more details, I may be able to find more information for you.
