Information On Ztamidronate

Updated

I have recently been diagnosed w/ adenocarcinoma. The primary site is on my lung. The cancer is also in 3 of my bones. An IV tamidronate is being ordered to strengthen my bones. If you have had this treatment, what side effects have you noticed? How long have you been on this treatment?

Did you mean Pamidronate? It is used to treat high levels of calcium in the blood caused by certain types of cancer and to treat Paget's disease of the bone.

It may cause side effects, such as fever, joint/bone/muscle pain, swelling and rapid weight gain.
