Hydroxyzine - How much is too much?

My mom is on 210 mg Hydroxyzine, Seroquel 200, and Trilogy all 900 mg, plus Temazepam 30mg. Should i be worried about an overdose? She's 63 and has been diagnosed with bipolar II. ## Hello, Ronnie! How is your mom doing? Have these dosages all been prescribed for her by her doctor? They aren't going to prescribe amounts that will put her life at risk. Bipolar disorder is a very serious illness that can be hard to control and often dose require high doses of multiple medications to gain control. The FDA classifies Hydroxyzine as an antihistamine that's commonly used for its sedative like effects. Hydroxyzine, Buspirone, Clonazepam and Diphenhydramine False Positive Drug Test

Hi everyone. My lawyer just called me and said I tested positive on my urine test. I take HYDROXYZINE PAM 50-100mg (for sleep), 15 MG 5 times a day of BUSPIRONE HCL, and CLONAZEPAM 1MG 3 times a day. I’ve never failed a drug test before. I have been taking zquil (alcohol free) for when I’m having a really hard time sleeping. This contains DIPHENHYDRAMINE HCI. I googled it and it said it may cause a false positive for methadone, opiates and PCP. I have never taken any of those ever in my life. Has anyone had this problem before? I’m f***ing pissed because this is supposed to be my last court date. ## I took an allergy medicine that contains diphenhydramine HCI 25mg and I tested positive for pcp. I’ve never done any hard drugs, so what do I do? ## I recently detoxe...

hydroxyzine expiration

My doctor gave me hydroxyzine pills on april 12th 2012, and I want to know if there safe to take again? ## HI, Nicky! How are you? Tablets begin to degrade once they are exposed to the elements, such as heat, light and moisture. This means that their time starts ticking away as soon as the seal on the original factory container is broken. From that point on, they have a one year expiration date and after that year, they being to lose effectiveness. Hydroxyzine isn't one that has been known to be dangerous once it's expired, but it's not going to continue working and having its intended beneficial effects. Thus, the best thing to do would be to properly dispose of them and see your doctor for a new prescription. Is there anything else I can help with? ## My hydroxyzine says u...

how long does it take for hydroxyzine to work

I have itching with no rash, Dr prescribed this rx yesterday and so far not much relief ## Hello, Karen! How are you? They should have started having some effect within 15 to 20 minutes of taking one. The FDA classifies this medication as an antihistamine and it is used to treat allergic reactions. Its typical side effects may include dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, somnolence and sedation. However, if the itching isn't due to an allergy, then these pills won't help. Are you on any other medications? ## I was prescribed hydroxyzine (50mg, 6x a day) for itching caused by psoriasis, an autoimmune disease. It worked very well but I also slept a lot at first. Now I don't even feel sleepy, but they still work. Taking by mouth as prescribed is the quickest way to feel relief usu...

Hydroxyzine False Positive Drug Test methadone

Since being prescribed hydroxyzine I falsely tested positive at my pain clinic for methadone. I also orally take oxycodone, lamictal, xanax, cymbalta, diphenhydramine, zantac, tums, and have an internal pain pump supplying me with dilaudid. Any clue? ## Update....I went back a week later as required and took the same test. Meanwhile th first "positive test" was sent to a lab for further testing. After taking the second test I was in the exam room waiting for the doctor and when he came in it was as if nothing happened. He wrote my script for a month and off I went. I am covinced they are simply bad tests that they recently started using but as a precaution I stopped taking the hydroxyzine.I don't know what kind of tests they are but if this happens to you stand up for yourse...

The FDA classifies this medication as an antihistamine that's used to treat allergic reactions and for its sedative like effects. (NDC 16714-082) The original message was deemed inaccurate and has been demoted: The pill with that imprint is basically the same as an oxy 10 and will sometimes be used by pharmacys as a generic pill if they are out. I started taking hydroxyz today (25MG). It has not yet worked for me. I took it about four hours ago, and no relief from the itching! It's kinda driving me crazy. What should I do? Give it more time? Round dark green pill crescent moon 160

Round dark green pill with a crescent moon and 160 on it. Need to identify it. No other markings and is not scored. ## Hi Dede, From my investigation, the crescent moon is indicative of a product of Actavis Elizabeth, LLC. (now known as Teva Pharmaceuticals). There's also a round green Hydroxyzine 25mg pill by Epic Pharma, LLC. imprinted E 160, whereas the E is oval shaped like a moon. I'm fairly certain that if you took the pill to a local pharmacy for a second opinion that they'd be able to identify it as one of these prospects. However, you could also contact Actavis (Teva) directly for more specific details at: tevapharm.com/contact_us I hope this helps! Please post back if you have any updates!
