Hydrocodone Shortage In Detroit

Can anyone tell me why every pharmacy in metro Detroit is out of Norco? They don't know when they will be in? Even the pain center that prescribed it with their own pharmacy is out.

Shortages just sometimes happen, the manufacturers may have trouble obtaining the raw ingredients, shipping problems or etc. The only thing you can really do is wait it out, or speak to your doctor about possibly prescribing an alternative medication in the meantime.

The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

I understand that it's a pain and I'm sorry about that, but the situation should resolve itself soon.

I think that is some kind of game, for what ever stupid reason. Most people that are on these meds will be on painkillers forever. They exausted every option to be pain free. Michigan is a joke.
