Teva Lorazepam Reviews (Page 11)

I'm seeking insights and reviews on Teva Lorazepam and its comparison with Leading Pharma's version. There's a notable divide in user experiences. Some report Leading Pharma Lorazepam as being less effective or having no effect, possibly due to variations in the active ingredient, leading to side effects or adverse reactions in certain cases.
While there are those who recommend Teva Lorazepam for its efficacy, others find Leading Pharma's version more suitable. Unfortunately, I haven't had the opportunity to try Teva Lorazepam since it's not available in my area – no local pharmacies dispense it.
My experience with other brands, post the discontinuation of Qualitest, hasn't been successful in finding a comparable alternative. I'm particularly interested in understanding how Teva Lorazepam and Leading Pharma's lorazepam differ in terms of effectiveness and user satisfaction.
If you've had experiences with either or both of these medications, your reviews would be incredibly valuable. Any insights into their efficacy, side effects, or overall satisfaction would greatly help me and others in our decisions.
Re: Lex (# 450)
Also, has anyone tried compounded lorazepam?
I tried the capsules at .25 but they were a it strong for me so my dr put in an rx for lozenges which I plan to try if Aurobindo doesn’t work well.
Re: Lex (# 450)
Lex, did you not have any luck with Teva lorazepam even after some time?
I called the company and they said their ingredients are identical to Actavis/Watson but I’m getting alot of vertigo with this.
Re: Henry (# 448)
Henry, of these three Xanax, Klonopin or Valium, which one works like lorazepam, I hope Xanax works faster but the effects also disappear quickly. and which generic company is good?
Re: Ajay (# 447)
which, the most we can do is like henry said. brand name is too expensive if not insurance approved.
Re: Ajay (# 447)
Unfortunetky only two choices. You can have your doctor submit a prior authorization request for brand name Ativan, and hopefully they’ll approve it or switch to another benzodiazepine like Xanax, Klonopin or Valium.
Re: Lex (# 446)
So which brand can we use? I’m also having issue with Aurobindo now. It’s really frustrating. What do we do?
Re: Edward (# 445)
it is currently difficult to find a good generic lorazepam. I've tried Aurobindo and it's better than Teva and Leading. but now Aurobindo is also not the same anymore. many have said in this thread that the formula took a turn for the worse. this makes it a problem for me
Re: cat714 (# 441)
Have you had any relief, especially sleep? Both Leading and Teva for me were complete garbage. The only generic that ever worked for me was Watson and someone on here said even though Actavis bought Watson and then ultimately Actavis was bought by Teva, Watson really hasn’t been the same for at least 8-10 years. When I tried Leading it increased my anxiety and Teva gave me an allergic reaction.
Re: Trish (# 443)
I also ask that in this group, is that true? i also just saw someone's post in another thread. i tried teva once and it didn't work for me. only actavis worked for me. maybe you guys have some info?
Re: Lex (# 364)
did the company itself confirm that it’s the same formulation?
thank you so much!
Re: Lex (# 421)
Hello, was this confirmed correct or did you try it? I’ve been on actavis with no issue, .25 at night, and now I’m really having a hard time
Re: Lou (# 2)
I am also convinced Leading Pharmaceuticals Lorazapam 1 mg is a placebo. I've been taking 1 mg since around 1984 for anxiety to help me sleep and was recently changed to Leading. It does absolutely NOTHING. I haven't slept for 48 hours and I'm exhausted. It seems to be giving me extremely dry throat.I get my meds from CVS and there was no warning of any change. It is very exhausting. I will try and call them. Reading these messages gives me some peace. I didn't know what was happening. I'm 71 yrs old. I need my sleep as we all do. I will check with CVS tomorrow and try to get to the bottom of this. On the back of my 1 mg pill it is marked with 1mg and EP|905 .
I have a few questions about Teva. Does anyone know who the original pharmaceutical company was that made it and has it changed hands over the years. Did any of you experience it working ok at one time and has it changed formula wise and who makes it now if it did. I've never taken Teva that I know of. Wondering what it did/does to any of you that might have been on it. Is it better then Leading brand. My pharmacy gave me a heads up they've changed brands again. Does one strength work better than the other. Appreciate any feedback.
Re: Henry (# 437)
The original brand worked so we'll it wasn't a joke. Never had one tolerance change in 18 years. When Biovail took over making it that was the end. I took 4mgs a day never needed extra. As far as the 70's are concerned that wasn't me talking. I didn't start on Ativan till 1987. For me it beat out everything else tried. I'm thinking that might have been Richard that had some time at it back in the day. I'm not sure what generic I was given in lorazepam form but it didn't work at all. Doc wrote it for brand name and there was never a magic trick, hoop to jump through, call to the insurance company, drug shaming or any of that trash. Doctors know what we're all dealing with and they also know benzos work and are more effective anything else. Peace y'all abd Happy New Year!
Re: Henry (# 437)
Yes right. I also read the post
Re: Lex (# 436)
Wyeth was way before I ever took it (it was bought by biovail in between too). There was someone who posted on here that remembers the original Wyeth and he claims it worked better for him. He seemed to feel all these benzodiazepines used to work better in the 70s-90s.
Re: Henry (# 435)
Henry..thanks for this info. is there any difference between wyeth to bousch in producing ativan?
Re: Lex (# 434)
I've been using brand name since 2018 once Mylan lorazepam left the market. I've found the brand Ativan (presently owned by Busch Health of Montreal Canada and now made in Canada) to work well for me.
As for insurance it's really about seeing if they will approve coverage from the request of your doctor. Make sure they say you had problems with the generics and if you filed a complaint wilts FDA Medwatch even better.
Re: Henry (# 433)
does the brand name ativan work well for you? Can all types of insurance do it or only a few insurance companies?
Re: Lex (# 432)
I wasn't aware. I take 2MG brand name Ativan in the US with a prior authorization my doctor got with my insurance. It costs my insurance a mind-boggling $69.00 per tablet.
