How To Take Suboxone At Home (Page 8) (Top voted first)

I have ten suboxones. I have been taking oxycontin for pain but want to try at home to w/d. I can't discuss this with my doctor as it will affect my insurance. This is a fact..in my case... Can someone on here tell me how to take my subs? I would appreciate any answers and no lectures. How many do I need to withdraw..Thanks so much.

im seeing online that alot of people are already trin to do the suboxene treatment themselves and buying it of the street please don't f*** this up for those of us who want to do this right for #1 buying it off the street is strong addict behavior i know i am a addict......one addict cant fool another no what i mean........i would be very carful with suboxone it is a powerful drug just like methadone comming from a addict who wants to help myself the honest way it concerns me because next people will start losing there lives experimenting with this drug suboxone....come on people u know that addicts a smarter than the normal person and if u are a true addict u know that we cant manage any drug by ourselves and thats just the cold hard fact that has to be accepted.....ADDICTION IS NOT A PART TIME JOB ITS FOR LIFE............DONT U WANT TO KEEP YOURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I take about 60mg a day of percs or dope, I'm over feeling trapped & broke:/ I got 8 8mg-mg - how much should I take first dose? & how many days do u wait to cut back thank you so much...

Mine happened when I took opiates and didn't wait long enough to start the subs back up. It was really good, really long acting opiates and I just rushed it. MISTAKE. I was in the bed, then the couch, then the bed, then the couch...I was LITERALLY climbing the walls. Begging my husband to smother me with a pillow. (And not in a joking way) I had no clue why this was happening at the time. I was having the things "crawling" on me as well, and leg spasms so bad I thought my bones would break. My husband started shoving trazodone down my throat until finally I passed out after about 7 of them. Holy friggin hell. That's the first and ONLY time I ever want to go through that stuff. I slept for a couple hours from the trazodone, and when I woke up my clothes were completely drenched, I had a bloody nose and I felt like I had gone 3 rounds with Mike Tyson. AND...I had pissed myself. Just a complete horror flick.

Suboxone has a three day grace period, a delayed effect if you will. Take half of your first film sublingually & pop the other half back into the packet. Be sure to use dry hands (don't get the film wet, wait 5 hours and if you still feel awful suck the other half but don't swallow it for five to ten minutes. Swirl it around in your mouth so you get the full effect for as long as you can bare, chase down with a hot coffee (gets rid of the bitterness instantly & activates the drug faster) do not eat grapefruit in any form. The secret to breaking addiction is to disrupt it without causing too much pain to yourself. After you have your first suboxone film it will hold you from opiate/codeine phos' withdrawal for 3 days! If you find your feeling awful or crampy etc during those three days have another half of the next film, rinse & repeat & before you know it you'll be off opioids & well and truly feeling much better & you'll probably have some films left over to help someone else! It shouldn't take more than five or six days for the withdrawal to pass. Don't get addicted to suboxone & especially do not inj. Opium based products or the suboxone itself because the naloxone will make you very very sorry you did.

STORM: Why on EARTH would you think that one dose of Bupe would keep a legit opioid addict from being in withdrawal for THREE DAYS? That is completely ludicrous. And it isn't the Naloxone that will throw someone into withdrawal, it is the Bupe itself. The Naloxone is only in there to keep people from taking the Suboxone intravenously. And why do you think replacing one opioid with another opioid, and then STOPPING, would keep someone from going into withdrawal? That makes no sense whatsoever. I mean, if you are addicted to heroin, and replace the heroin with oxys, then STOP the oxys, you are going to go into withdrawals. Coming off of Subs produces withdrawals, just like coming off of any other opioid. Your information is a bit....OFF.

Suboxone works GREAT. for those of you that only have a few pills, PLEASE go to a clinic - they will be able to give you more. PLEASE TRUST ME: It is absolutely worth it to get your life back.

when taking subboxone IF is an N8 otherside a cross then some people do hald i take a full N8 Subboxone goes under your tongue the goal is to not move smoke or dreank for an hr you cannot drink alchol with this edicane you cannot take ANY OPOIDS AT ATLL YOU WILL DIE BUT if lookin for an extra BUMP get some bars or KP= klonipin :) 1st thing it says on warings do not take bennys :) but keep the box=subbosone under your tongueand dont move tongue dont talk for 1 hr is the goal longer u wait better the high ENJOY !! WARcHiLd

I'm wondering if you can tell me what your experience was with the 10 suboxones and your try and home detox. I am in the exact same situation. I have been taking about 150mg of oxy for about a year and have a long history of opiate abuse - I suffere withdrawals after about 4 hours. Anyway, I have taken a week off work starting this Saturday and have 10 suboxones to help me get through it. I want to make sure I do this right. I have attempted to get in to doctors in the local area but no doctors here are accepting new patients so I have to do this myself. I have been reading about suboxones for weeks and want to know what your experience was with the 10 that you had. I have 9 days off work and my goal is to be off of both the oxys and the subs by the time I go back. I would really appreciate any advice you give me on your experience and how best to utilize the subs and still taper off those at the same time. Anything you could tell me would be great. thanks.

i too am trying to detox from oxy. i was doing about 30-40 mg a day and tried to taper down to about 15-20 mg in the last week. i went 48 hours and relapsed with about 10mg oxy :(... so the next day i was just as messed up again and on day one. that night i couldnt take it and took half of a 10/325 norco (5 mg hydrocodone) to fall asleep. now im about 16 hours from my last relapse and it was only a very small amount. i have a N8 suboxone pill and was told to break it into 4 peices and it will help... is this true? will i just have the same symptoms that i do right now when i quit taking the suboxone? plz help i dont know why but my withdrawals are very very painful for some reason. i need a good honest answer, thank you.
