Hate Taking Pill In The Morning !!!!

I absolutely HATE HATE HATE taking this pill in the morning and having to drink a full glass of water, and then waiting another hour before coffee or food. I understand that morning is the optimum time, but do any of you take it other times, like at bedtime? Any adverse affects?

I have no experience with using this, but have you tried asking your doctor or pharmacist if changing the time of day that you take it will make a difference? They would be the best ones to ask about it.

Everything I am reading says it should be taken a half hour to an hour, before you eat anything. Thus, I am not sure if there is a specific reason that it must be taken in the morning, there are some times when a doctor recommends this solely because they want a patient to get in the habit of taking it at the same time, each day.

The doctor slapped my hand today when she found out I was taking it at bedtime. It has to be in the morning, so it is effective when your body is fully functional. The body processes slow down during sleep. She didn't say coffee was a no no; just no solid food allowed at the same time.

Your MD should read the reserach! SHows it is more effective taking it at bedtime!!

I hate it too.....waiting an hour before and after you can eat. But what's so bad is that ...meantime...your eating up your bones with this medication....so I try to drink lots of milk and yogurt. Not to mention they say it eventually causes breast cancer after lonterm use.
