So I just took my dose of liquid methadone and drank 3 cups of Grapefruit juice. A couple hrs later I pretty much blacked out on and off for a few hours. Has anyone else have this happen to them? Also I'm about to take my daily 60- 80mgs of oxymorphone ER. If I drink another couple cups of Grapefruit juice is that gonna happen to me again or does it only pertain to Methadone? Any and all info is appreciated thank you

I have Diclofenac Sodium in pill form and topical gel, both used for back pain. Is there a big difference between D. Sodium and D. Potassium that you use? If not you might want to look into that cause it's pretty cheap, $3.40 is what I pay for each one. Good luck.

I was simply asking if Grapefruit juice was only directed towards Methadone or all opioids? Not that I was trying to get all messed up, it was kind of scary and if this helps people become more aware about the dangers of Grapefruit juice then I'm a happy camper. So please stop trying to make me look like I'm part of this fake opioid epidemic (we all know it's mostly the IV junkie or the heroin and now Fentanyl users) that are making getting my pills so much harder. So go bark up another tree.

The medication to treat my migraine headaches is down to one. Diclofenac Potassium has worked like a charm for 30 years but for some reason went off the market. I called all the major prescription houses but found none.Now enter Anjovy. It is extremely expensive 800.00 per month retail. If your insurance company denies your prior authorization AJOVY will absorb the cost and give it to you for nothing.And it works.on the 2ntr Humanna approved my prior authorization. I was so excited! However, now that I’m on insurance it only costs 302.00 dollars.a month. I just can’t afford it. Now I have to live with nothing. Does anyone have ant ideas on Anjovy? I’ve had migranes for 30 years or Dioclofinic Potassium have any ideas . Please.

It's guys like you Rawdog that are ruining pain management for the rest of us. You should not be taking any drugs if you do not know how to read or ask your doctor a simple question.

Grapefruit influences the activity of an enzyme in the liver that can increase the potency of the methadone.

Stay in your lane bro... quit trying to be cute... we can spot your kind easily here!!

I don’t know about methadone, but there are plenty of meds that you aren’t supposed to take with grapefruit juice. CBD oil does the same thing as the grapefruit juice, so don’t take CBD oil orally with medication you shouldn’t take with grapefruit juice.

Rawdog I hope you are not trying to get f***ed up off your meds bro? Just saying bcuz that's what part of the problem that we have now and why the public have such a negative perception of methadone patients.They see some of us nodding off on the streets and in public places and think it's the methadone that has the person like that but it's the other drugs that were taken with the methadone that has a person looking all f***ed up and I don't think it's fair to the people who are on methadone and not using other drugs they are not supposed to be using while on methadone. Just my opinion Rawdog.
