Okay people if you want off these crazy addicting pills and you are being prescribed them by your doctor. Now ask him for a medication called SUBOXONE - I believe not all doctors can prescribe them but ask cause I'm not sure. OH MY GODNESSSSSS This helps with the come down WOW I thaught I was going to die I was so scared of being sick.. This is what you want to take that makes it all better. NO Sweating, cramping, leg twitches, aches, sleeplessness GONE you will love it.. ASK your DOC about it. Best Wishes Heidi

NO you are lying!!! You must go thru hell for 72 hours before taking the suboxone. Withdrawal is different for everyone. You must of had a very small habit if any. If you never got sick and then took the suboxone then you wasted your money because apparently you didnt need to take suboxone. So yes! suboxone works fantastic but only after going thru a living hell of at least 50 to 72 hours of withdrawals. If you just stopped whatever you were taking and took a sub, and you were fine, that means you weren't even taking enough to experience withdrawals. Make sure you tell them properly how to use suboxone because the way you stated it, you will have every junkie who is using taking subs and then making themselves even more sick!

Yep, the second post is right - you don't want to have precipitated withdrawals and there is a little more to switching medications than what was stated. Always work closely with your prescribing doctor to determine the proper course.

I have been on dilaudid for about three days taking it four times a day. Now that I have been off of it I have been seeing things that are not there and my legs have been shaking and I can not sleep. Are these withdrawals? And how long will this last with only being on it for a short period of time?

The first 2 responding posters are correct, you have to be in full withdrawal, before you can safely take this medication, otherwise it may set of full precipitated withdrawals, which the FDA warns may include seizures, nausea, vomiting, and possibly fatal reactions.

Christ, what dose were you taking and how long were you taking it? Are you on any other medications?
