Fentanyl For Veterinary Use
UpdatedHi - I want to know if Fentanyl is only prescribed for veterinary use?

No, it is also used in humans, most commonly as a micro dosed patch that is time released, and changed every 2 to 3 days.
However, it is not the preferred first choice for pain treatment, and is usually only prescribed when other options have been exhausted.
The FDA warns that it carries a high risk of being habit forming, and may cause other traditional opiate side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.
Is there anything else I can help with?
