While this may not apply to everyone, it's interesting to note that a few articles from the Journal of the American Medical Association have paved the way to exploring various preventive methods including, problem-solving education [1], resistance exercise training [2] and psychological preventive intervention. "Sometimes less is more."

To make certain a symptom is not a pesky recalcitrant effect of ANY drug, one could with advice of a expert, go back to baseline as it was to rule out the possiblity od a untoward reaction of a supposedly innocuous drug. Nothing is inert. ALL drugs have the propensity to mimic other drugs. Just because it isn't schedule is not a good reason to think it has no morbidity or mortality. Start from scratch. This is not advise. Consult the proper authority before stopping or starting any medication.

I seem to have a fixation on buying things, eating, I was told it was probably lack of Dopamine, take Tripiline and these habit will calm down ## Have you consulted a doctor? There are several medical issues that can cause these types of behaviors and your doctor can run tests to determine which it is and help you discover your proper treatment options. Trying to self-diagnose and self-treat is really never a good idea. The medication you're referring to contains the active ingredient Amitriptyline, which is a tricyclic antidepressant. It requires a doctor's prescription and isn't an appropriate medication for everyone.
