I want to go to a dr to get on suboxone but i have been been buying them through other means for a few months now. Will that affect me getting treatment? Plz help. I'm desperate for help. How do i explain to a dr that im already taking them? They will urine test me right?

I'm sure you prob found out by now but jus in case I thought I'd help..my boyfriend was on subs before goin to the dr and he did take opiates the nite before to have them in his system because he was scared they wuldnt give them to him either if he told them he's just been taking subs..but the lady he meets with there is wonderful n very understanding..he did lie n told her he still too opiates but that he took subs a lot too bc he culdnt afford his habit anymore n he did have suns in his system..but my friend went to the same place n told them he's been taking subs n not opiates anymore n they still prescribed him them..I don't want to tell u to take opiates but if u ate a few perks the day before n like my bf say u do both or jus b honest n tell them u want to do the rite thing n get the help u need and don't want to b denied becUse ur not using anymore..tell them u want to do this legally and so on..but jus in case I wuld look n see if there's at least another sub dr thts close enuf for u to get to so if u try the honest thing n for any reason it doesn't work then u have a backup and u can try the same or diff approach..every dr is diff so u can never b certain..easiest thing to do honestly tho-call the dr's office and ask..don't give ur name or anythin n jus ask ..I hope everythin works out for
